Hello Kingdom of Gems fans!
Since my last blog, I have enjoyed quite a few Waterstone’s Signing Event days and some wonderful school visits. In this way I am meeting people who are already enjoying The Kingdom of Gems as well as introducing the trilogy to new readers.
In between Waterstone’s Signings and school visits, I am working on a few exciting projects. One of these is a new book, which I am planning to publish soon… within a few months. It is a children’s thrilling adventure, this time not set in The Kingdom of Gems world, although there will, of course, be more books in the KOG series – The Glyifild Bell will be the next.
The new book is written and I am extremely pleased with it. Now all it needs is some artwork for inside the book and the cover. My son, Joseph, designs my covers and we have had a few chats to decide on the artwork I will need to do. Â I’ll let you know when I have a publishing date.
Now, here are a few photos:

I saw Jasper at my local waterstones and my boyfriend and I had a great chat about the books and how they turned from bedtime stories into amazing, well known novels, we also talked about how to get inspired which was helpful to both of us as we both want to be able to write books! I really like the trilogy and the short stories, I think they’re so gripping!

Great to hear from you, and that our talk provided some inspiration. It is wonderful and fulfilling to do something creative, so I hope you join me and write your own books!

I saw and spoke to Jasper at waterstones in Coventry. We kept coming in and out debating whether to buy the book. I am so glad that me and my two sisters did. I haven’t been able to put the book down it is brilliant. Thank you Jasper for writing the Kingdom of Gems it has inspired me to write more stories of my own.
May 4, 2012 @ 11:49 amThank you so much Jasper.
You are a brilliant author and illustrator 🙂
Hello Michaela,
Many thanks for writing. It’s good to hear your excellent decision to buy Candara’s Gift – the best conclusion to your debate! I’m also extremely glad it has inspired you to write more stories… isn’t it enjoyable? You’ll find that as you write more you will improve, especially if you keep it going and learn from books you read too.
Let me know how it goes with Candara’s Gift – and of course with The Silver Well and Glass Prison. Don’t forget to read the KOGworld stories too.
