College of International Education, Oxford – 3 yearly visits (invited back again next year)

For the last two years (2008/2009) Jasper has been invited to speak and take workshops as part of the Elderhostel Program for American grandparents and grandchildren.

John Hudson, Principle, College of International Education, Oxford: “In August Jasper entertained the grandparents and grandchildren of the Elderhostel programme for the second year in succession. Jasper is not only a wonderful illustrator and writer but also has a passionate interest in the animal world. His stories of the Komodo dragon and the albatross provided a fascinating backdrop to his literary themes and gripped the attention of an audience containing under 11′s and over 70′s. His enthusiasm and insights created a wonderful two hour session for the group, whose attention never wavered. The quality of his presentation was matched by the interesting activities engaged in by the under 11′s. The children’s leader who is also a schoolteacher was very quick to ask Jasper to talk to the children at her school. We look forward to meeting Jasper again next year”.
